The gang is off to Pennsylvania to investigate Hillview Manor tonight. So, with a website like this:

http://www.hauntedhillview.com/

do you think our careful, methodic, analytic investigators will find anything? It's a stretch but I suspect the answer will be yes. Probably will get some full EVPs that are only somewhat shorter in length than a Tolstoy novel. Lots of shadows. Someone will be touched. Lots of bleeping. In short, just your average GA night.

Wonder if Sonar Sam will be joining them tonight to lend an air of scientific credibility akin to what he did for the Stanley episode?

I usually find the GA guys amusing because of how over the top they are, but I admit I can barely make it through a whole episode at times. Last weeks episode to me was one of the worst things I have ever seen on television. So I am still debating on whether I want to watch this one or not…. who am I kidding, I probably will set through it, then have a headache afterwards.

The website for Hillview is almost as loud and over the top as the GA crew is!!!

GA  doing Hillview Manor , last night GL was there . GA did the Jenny Wade house and so did GL . Next time GL does the Lizzie Borden house  how long til GA goes too ? Are these people related ? Both loud and obnoxious , both hear voices in static , both see shadows etc . So far no possessions on GL but a matter of time . We shall see .

I'm looking forward to GA doing the Lizzie Borden place. I smell a possession involving an axe….

I know what you mean Nosfer. I think we have some more outlandish claims again due to EVP's. Maybe they will find that Lizzie did it because she was pregnant Undecided

Sorry for being late on giving my recap on this one but I just got to watch it tonight.

If you take out the commercials you basically have a 45 minute show. Take out close to 30 minutes of that 45 for scenes of them playing golf and walking around with the person who is going to lock them in, making jokes about Aaron tripping. Then you have a 15 minute investigation. Most of the investigation involves, (drum roll please), the Franks Box! Just when I thought I had some people convinced that this was just a useless radio on a few fan sites, they go and do this episode and now all the fans are back to believing and praising the Franks Box.

Seriously though, I don't know how much more of the over dramatic, over the top acting I can take. It seems that Hillview and the Stanley hotel have brought out an even more annoying aspect in these guys. For two weeks now we have to suffer through longer scenes of them doing random things, such as explaining for 3 minutes in detail how they lay an X made of tape on the floor. They think its adding humor to the show by showing the golf scenes and such but to me it makes the show that much more corny.

But Ghaleon, they "proved" that the sounds coming from Frank's box was a spirit lol.

Watching this episode was painful. Maybe I should have watched the walk through instead of the investigation.

I've never seen so much pareidolia in a single episode of anything. Henceforth I shall refer to this show as "Pareidolia Adventures".

If there was one thing that you could ask of a ghost, what would it be?  Would you choose a departed loved one and simply ask if they were ok?  Would you ask something of physics or science?  What of the Great Beyond would you wish know?  What does Zak want to know?

"What color pants are you wearing?"

A response captured in an EVP "…blue…"

Wisdom comes in many forms.  Apparently for Zak…wisdom can now be found in blue pants…

Undecided

Nothing else in the episode impressed me more than that.

Your right Learjet, who am I to put down such concrete evidence as the "magic radio flower power hour with Zak" from GA Tongue out I want a Franks Box now just to mess with people around me who believe in them

And as for Zak asking about the color of the guys pants. I thought I was going to die from laughing so hard after hearing that. My wife had to stop the DVR for a few minutes. Maybe Zak is on the hunt for Mr. Greenjeans from Captain Kangaroo and hes narrowing down the list, haunted location by haunted location. "Jim" gets away this time with his blue pants but Zak will find the right color one day.

I have been looking around at other sites tonight that have forums dedicated to GA and it seems like a lot of people are working overtime trying to find some connection of a hockey player to Hillview because they had an EVP on the show say that the "spirit" liked hockey. I have fun debunking and debating these shows and such but I can honestly say I can't see myself getting to the point of where I want to look up any connections at all to every EVP these guys say they capture. Some even claim that they are so upset and saddened by the "spirit" voice they captured that claims to be called Alicia that they had trouble sleeping after the show because it bothered them. Talk about really getting into it. I wonder if these guys know that they have people that are THAT loyal to them and believe every word they say?

In many forms. And, as we've seen repeatedly with them, sometimes it's just plumb gone missing! :)

Sorry for coming back to this one, but something just kinda irked me. I really dislike the whole Ghost box, Franks box, Shack Hack, what have you. At the end they came to the defense of the Franks Box by showing their evidence with it. Zak noted that when the radio is fliping through stations, that it does it "within a quarter of a second" and that "no words could possibly form on its own in that amount of time". After hearing that I did some digging and came across many youtube videos of people using a Franks Box. Take this one for example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpI3qrMCgkU

Keep an eye on the station numbers while he is asking questions. Notice that every few seconds there is a "hiccup" if you will in the repitition of the dial. It will randomly stop for a longer period of time on certain stations and that is the stations where the actual words are being formed. On one occasion in that video it actually stays for a good 2 to 3 seconds. Long enough that I could make out 2 to 3 lyrics of a song. Some would argue that this type of pause is what the box is all about. That this pause is the spirit making the stop. From what I have read on this box, the words are supposed to be manipulated by a spirit in the white noise from the randomly flipping stations and that the answers come through that, not the actual speaker on the station. Or so Mr. Bagans wants us to believe.
