Various observations:
"The Curse" – As the story goes, Cherokee War Chief Dragging Canoe once "vowed to turn the land dark and bloody if anyone decided to settle on the land (which was taken away from the Cherokee)." I do not believe that it's a "curse." I think that was a blatant threat. "Come on our land and we'll kill you." I'm very unclear as to how that became a curse. And really…the concept and practical application of a curse…well, I never associated that with any Native American culture. I'm far from an expert, but any story or example that I can think of is really other people thrusting their own beliefs and concepts upon the Native American cultures. Cursing land…I can't see the Cherokee Nation doing that.
"The Shadow and the FLIR" – Aaron was sent to do some EVP work on his own in…the control booth(?) just above one of the turbines (submerged in water). Zak and Nick stay behind and film him with the FLIR. After Aaron yells and jumps, we are lead to believe that something moves behind him. Let's take a look…
Aaron yells and jumps because he thinks something tugged on his jacket. Next we see the FLIR footage of a small shadow moving away from Aaron. First…no idea if these two events happened simultaneously or if they just edited that way. It seemed odd because the FLIR footage just shows Aaron kind of standing there…maybe turning, but not jumping around.
Next…and very important…when Aaron describes his tugging experience, he says "I was sittin' there and…" Why is this important? Look at the footage of the shadow (I'll supply a link when a copy is online). Look carefully at the movement of the shadow. Now…picture a chair (typical office chair), that swivels…and rolls. Aaron bumps the chair…it swivel and rolls…and you've got the correct height, correct shape, correct movement, and correct temperature (remember its the same temperature as everything else in there).
When Aaron pans the room…we do not see a chair. Doesn't mean one isn't there…we may not have seen due to his point of view. Also…he said he was "sittin'" there. Could be the floor. But…could be a chair as well. So…that's my guess…and by the way…
I wish these paranormal investigators would make up their minds. Are the ghosts cold or hot? I can't explain ghosts either way…but both cold and hot puts the complexity into a whole other plane of weirdness.
"Billy" – Show me an "EVP Expert" tagging along on a trip and I'll show you grade A EVP's. Funny how that works out, right?
