Be sure to take the free evaluation.  I did.  And answered honestly.  And apparently I'm being haunted.  Ol' PT ain't seen nothing yet.

In case you end up getting shooted, I think we should set up some sort of pre-arranged codewords so you can try to contact me afterward.  And be sure to attend a GHI investigation if they show up down under and really let them have it! Laugh

I took it.

I am apparently not being haunted at this time (how can that be?)…but have been exhorted to keep them in mind if the situation changes or friends have the requisite signs of paranormal molestation.

Awesome! I'm being "haunted" too Nosfer and need to call them ASAP. Their questions are very generic that it could be anything. For example, "Do you feel cold spots in places that shouldn't be?" Yes, because I work in a building where the windows aren't properly sealed and it will get a little drafty in some places. According to me, a cold spot shouldn't be if the heat is on and the windows were sealed properly!  Wink "Do you see your garage door opened even though you know you closed it?" Um, yep, it's called I accidentally rehit the button and it went back up without my knowledge. I've caught myself a few times, but not every. I guess it really must be haunted though! Laugh  To me, these are logically "yes" answers and nothing supernatural about them.

The only question on there that for me was a possible ghostly issue that I said yes to was that my 5 yr old niece came out of my old bedroom at my parent's house and asked where her Aunt Sandra was.  My sister-in-law looked at her rather funny (Sandra was her sister that was killed in a car accident 20 yrs prior) and asked why she was looking for her, and my niece replied, because I was just playing with her and she left the room and I don't know where she went. Now paranormal or not, I don't know. Kids have imaginary friends and maybe she decided to "play" with her dead aunt, but to me it's still rather strange. The room was not haunted when I lived there.

Sadly, some poor gullible person will take their questions as gospel and not understand that a yes answer maybe just like my perfectly logical "yes" responses. Nothing supernatural here folks!

Yes, it is, but this is a test and it's up to the good people of SV to prove that.  Or at least show good evidence of something suspicious…

The site itself is hilarious…but the links appear to be to actual "paranormal investigators" who without reward or awards will seek the source of your spectral anguish (e.g. the "Cool Guys" at West Coast Paranormal Research…who present a treasure trove of EVPs and some nice artifacty photos).

What's with those crazy Europeans?  First, in the English Nessie thread, the article says the creature has 3 humps when the picture has 4.  Now, these guys ask you to answer 10 simple questions, then ask you 20.  Must be ghosts in the machine…..

Anyway, my house is definitely haunted, even though I answered yes to just 3 or 20 questions.  #1, the backyard question, but we have alot of neighborhood cats,  #8, footsteps in the kitchen, but we live in a 100+ yr old house with forced air heat, and #14 uneasy feeling in basement, when I have already had GH there and they declared it to be a fear cage……

I don't think you can blame this one on European craziness Laugh  I think this one falls under American craziness.

Okay, no one seems to want to do the research so I'll detail it.

The group CLAIMS to be out of Los Angeles (thus my American Craziness statement above) although one would actually look for the server on the other side of the country, but still in the US.  Second, there is no such thing as the Ghost Institute of Vienna, in fact both that website (the one for the Ghost Institute) and the website for Ghost Capturers are registered to the same entity.  And, what's more, they are both hosted on the same physical box.  There are no other legitimate references to it.  So, yes, this is a spoof.

Thank heavens for that. The paranormal world is so full of crazy it's hard to tell the difference some times. Like these.

lol, I love how they go through all of these nit picky questions and then it comes down to number 18 where they straight out ask "Have you seen a ghost?". Just for fun I went back through the evaluation and answered no to everything but 18 and 18 is the kicker, its an automatic haunting for you.lol

I read the "Ghost Institute of Vienna" and thought Europe.  I was too excited to take the ghost quiz.  I am thinking about turning my home into a bed and breakfast and need a marketing hook.  Wink

Awesome, they just got themselves a new thermal camera.  I sense some more mis-usage coming up.  No instructions, it doesn't turn on, etc.  But at least it looks aces, that's what's important!

(walks slowly around room looking for sturdy portion of wall to bang forehead against repeatedly….we need an emoticon for that!)
