I know these can be really difficult to believe in since these are just pure audio but it came from an investigation group in the Kansas City area. I'll post a couple of things from their site.

"We are Paranormal Activity Investigators located in the Kansas City Metro area.

Our quest is to seek out allegedly haunted locations, authenticate evidence of ghosts, research ghost stories, sightings and conduct investigations into paranormal activity. We are located in the Kansas City Metro area.

We never charge a fee for our services, but do accept contributions to help cover the costs of batteries, film processing, fuel, etc.

We are not "Ghost Busters" and we do not claim to be experts in the paranormal, as no experts exist when it comes to the supernatural, no matter what anyone may claim or who may claim to be one."

*11-12 Second Mark

*Turn up the volume for this one

http://www.ghost-investigators…..003018.wav

*8 second mark

I don't want to add that bias by stating what they are supposed to be saying.

The only issue I have with these at they all seem to be whispers. There were a couple I found that were not. But let me know what you think

How exactly are these "viral"?

You were the one who brought up wanting to analyze "viral videos" but I noticed you didn't suggest anything in the thread that Awaba started…This isn't going to become a situation where people just go out looking for random stuff and posting it here so a select few of us can analyze things for you.

"Audio only" is much worse than video because we have absolutely no context, know nothing about the physical situation, know nothing about how many people are there, etc  ANYONE can layer additional sound into an audio file or be standing to the side of the recorder and whisper something.

I can only hear the first one. The other two sound more like clothing rubbing.

But how do we know this first one isn't just an investigator whispering?

The reason I never posted anything is because I couldn't really find much worth even posting. I thought it would be a lot easier. I honestly have been looking but most of the stuff online i just plain stupid and I thought there would be at least something I could find. I'm still new to all this so I apologize for useless posts.

Exactly…especially considering the laughter following.  Too many unknowns to make any real determination thus an effort in futility.

Okay….can't hear anything on the second and not sure what I am suppose to hear on the first and last;  but on the first, what seems to be the whispered section looped and repeated after the first 11 second mark sounds like "I don't care", but it also sounds like it is the main speaker speaking sotto voce about what she has just said.  To the effect : Someone just left something there, but "I don't care".  Or is the putative EVP under that somewhere?

I would love to know if, where and what others are hearing.  I am trying to improve the speaker quality on my new laptop, but it really is abysmal for this sort of thing.

Those are what the Site claims, anyway.

The thing is, we only have their word for it that it's a real EVP.

Much like EMF really. If ghosts really do have some sort of EMF emissions, are we expected to take their word for an EMF hit being a ghost and not the toaster in the power grid? Knowing what I know now, I certainly wouldn't.

Evidence contamination in the paranormal community is a major cause of "false positives".

And GHI and GH seem to have proved a negative correlation with EMF a few times now…the most recent being in Serbia where GHI had the fancy thermo-emf-o-meter and Joe(?) got the ghost to lower the temperature to 50(?) degrees but lo and behold the EMF stayed at a steady zilch the whole time.

And the episode with the flashlight moving proved that ghosts don't drain batteries either lol.

Yep, that was a pretty good one, too, as far as them inadvertently giving us some evidence of what really does or doesn't happen!

Edited: Or a Live Halloween Show so that we see how the SFT looks in real-time lol

And… the stupid door episode that closed on Britt, which he couldn't re-create but Grant did inadvertently by it closing on him when he walked past it.

So many examples. I think GH have proven that there is no evidence whatsoever for ghosts lol.

Ghost hunters and Ghost Adventures Marathon going on now, decisions, decisions…its amazing how much more I notice things after finding this site. I went from, wow that really sounds like "Kill Zach", to realizing it was a foot shuffling and a sigh.

I don't hear anything surprising in the first clip. Two people are discussing things that one of them borrowed from neighboring relatives. A partial transcript:

V1: From them, I got everything from them.

V2: Just, what, the relatives next door?

V1: (Overlapping) Yeah, and I just kinda have 'em on loan, but, (pause, faux-conspiratorial whisper) they don't care. (Laughs)

The "they don't care" is the so-called EVP. Not only does it make sense as part of the normal conversation, but the conversation doesn't make sense without it. Saying, "but…", then doing a long pause, then laughing for no reason, would be much stranger than what we hear.

That is exactly my reading of it…that it is just a normal part of the conversation.  The voice, accent, intonation and context are all completely consistent with the rest of the recording.  I wonder who identified it as an EVP and why?

Thus my original reservations about this.
