Well, your "common sense" is only common to you and everyone who agrees with your subjective reasctions. "Common sense" isn't proof of anything.

Wasn't it the skeptics who demanded proof before believing something? That's the skeptic's double standard at work that I've been harping on all along since I started posting here.

I'm serious about wanting to check over footage that appears faked. I'm not sure where you got such certainty that the Moon River Brewery shadow form was someone in a sheet, but I've certinaly noticed the sheet-like aspects of the image captured at Eastern Sate.

However, there were several other features to that image that looked nothing like a person obviously faking the image, such as the fact that to my eye the image advances and recedes in one smooth motion without turning, it simply goes forward and comes back. It also seems to emerge from within a smokey grey cloud rather than just looking like a figure with a sheet over them coming out of the darkness. The image in general is vague so it's not something I'll calim is easy to feel sure about, but those were my impressions after watching it many times.

So, yea, you and I have pretty different responses to some things that we're looking at so feel free to keep arguing your points but so far you haven't done much to sway me. With some of your claims that you posted here you've simply presented an interpretation you call "common sense", which implies a heavy degree of personal bias. Provide evidence instead and you may change my mind about some things. Or..don't. But don't expect me to respond to your pressuring me to accept that you have common sense and I don't.

I don't recall that I stated or implied that I have common sense and you don't. Sounds somewhat middle-school to me, and I don't prefer to engage in that sort of nonsensical debate. I'm also not here to sway you or change your mind. It's not my duty to do so. I've given you my opinion. We are all adults here and thus we are free to give our informed adult opinions, so long as they are given in a respectful manner.

I've successfully triggered a K-II meter with a walkie-talkie. K-IIs are pretty wide-band, according to LearJet's tests, so they'll pick up quite a bit.

The thing I would object to with this, though is that you have to separate contamination from fakery.

If it's contamination that's the concern, I don't buy it that the main GH members seem dull enough that they wouldn't have figured out most or all of the most likely sources and done what they could to keep them from interfering with sessions where they use the K-II. I agree it took them a while to sort out issues with thermal reflections, but I also think they are very careful now after a few years of using the FLIR.

If you're talking about fakery, then that's a different issue entirely, since someone could just stand off camera and key the walkie after each question.

But keep in mind, if you are talking about something that blatant, you are talking about a very serious con job being pulled literally on millions of people, which is almost tantamount to calling GH members criminals. This isn't some fake video footage being thrown together and put up on YouTube.

WaveyDavey,

Give me a break.  Criminals?  Are you really serious?  Please.  Contamination?  Fakery?  This is a television show.  Try taking that to court.  Have you actually read comments on this site about contamination or fakery or are you just here to post to be contrary?  Blah, blah, blah!  That's all I hear.  If you are ready to believe there is no fakery, please take them to court for misrepresentation as plumbers which has been the premise of the show from the beginning of the series.  That's something you can prove in court.  But then that would be common sense wouldn't it?

WaveyDavey, I've examined very closely the Manson episode K-II activations. They are beyond a doubt meter resets caused by thumb movement on the very fiddly switch. There is a very specific bootup sequence the K-II goes through when power is temporarily interrupted, as do a couple of other LED type EMF meters, and this is what is happening without a shadow of a doubt. What you see in that episode with the K-II are NOT even EMF readings.

Throwing my two cents in with Learjet and The Doctor and stating also that yes it's blatant. Repeating scenes is blatant. Doctoring FLIR footage is blatant.

You talk about common sense not being good enough. I disagree in some cases. If these folks are truly after the paranormal and proving it, then their actions do not match their stated intents. Is it common sense to just leave after you get a response? Is it common sense that they would leave such an active area like at Fort Delaware when Grant was making actual PHYSICAL CONTACT and INTERACTION with a ghost…leave just because they had to be in another part of the Fort at a certain time?

It absolutely flies in the face of all logic and common sense that they would do this. That in itself goes a long way to serving as strong evidence that things are not what they seem.

Since Moon River is brought up, check one of the comments sections for a very lengthy discussion of that. I've posted pictures showing an exit back where Jason says there was no way other way to get in (ie that someone would have to go in and out past the camera…not true) Also watch the Ghost Adventures episode of the same place where the door is quite prominently figured. Inaccuracies in reporting do not do much to help the trustworthiness of their evidence.

How is a K-2 session a definite question and answer session when there is no establishment of what an answer is, or when the meter lights up before the question is fully asked (Isle of Pines), or when conflicting answers are given? (Slater Mill) Or when they are making contact with ghosts in the wrong house (Manson again)

I am a #3 skeptic, I want to see something. The more I learn reading and see on TV the less I belieive. The older I get the more dead people I know. None have come back to see me. Not 1 dang UFO. Also after running around in the woods of Mo. a good deal of my life not 1 Big Foot ever seen. Most of the paranormal leads to a dead end. No positive proof. I will keep watching just in case.Smile
