In reply to the person who first posted this topic, I read the book, Ghost Hunting by Jay and Grant.
in it, they mentioned going to this man's home because he claimed to have ghosts. While there, they discovered some speakers and other stuff that proved to them the guy had rigged the place for special effects, so they now realized they had been taken so to speak. This was never on the show, and I think it happend before the program even came on the air.
I'm sure other investigators have had problems with clients. I think it was on the TAPS 18+ forum, that under the investigators thread, an investigator from another group, told about their problems with clients they encountered. Some this investigator said were far scareier than any ghost, and some of them seemed to be a bit unstable.

Search YouTube for ghost hunters pranks, too. I've seen a few where they recorded themselves calling some group, explaining what they had, basically punking them. I have no less enmity for those who pull this crap than I do for the charlatans who set themselves up as paranormal investigators. Both sides of the equation have some real bad apples that cast bad lights upon the whole field.

We are in southern Indiana. I too would love to investigate the house. Unfortunately, the home has been sold and I'm not really sure if the family living there is aware of it's "reputation", though at this point they probably are, thanks to gossipy neighbors.
There are actually several pretty interesting sites and homes close to me that would be great to investigate. The one I'm most interested in checking out for myself is Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, KY, which is only about an hour south of me. I know a few people who have investigated there with their groups and pretty much everyone has walked away with some good stuff. I will see if I can get the link to some footage and EVP's from a person I know who was there not too long ago and had an apparently pretty wild night.
The French Lick Resort is also a place in southern Indiana that has quite a reputation, and I don't believe they have ever had a formal investigation done there, but I could be wrong on that point. They would probably be quite open to having one though, as they are very up front with guests about the activity in the hotel and (I have heard) would love to get the "haunted place" stamp of approval.

Angelayo1970,
There are two separate Comment Sections on the Waverly Hills Sanatorium on this site and probably a forum for comments. One is a review of the episode by Logisti and one is by Patrick. You can view these Posts w/ comments by typing Waverly Hills in the search section.
