Remember in a few threads past you were saying that Casper might be directly manipulating the electronics for EVP or EMF meters rather than using detection by normal means?
Well, maybe Casper upon manifestation generates a type of, let's call it "G wave modulation" which directly manipulates our brain chemistry / electrical activity to produce an image in our head without showing up on modern video equipment. Direct Unconscious Modulated Brain, or DUMB for short, may yet explain many un-photographed manifestations, residual or intelligent.
Further, when Joe Chin sees a ghost, that's DUMB, Jason sees a shadow – DUMB, Grant feels a tug on his leg, also DUMB.
Actually, LJ, this is exactly what modern parapsychology proposes.
Personally, I don't like it a whole lot, because it's so "psi" oriented, but in a way, it would explain a lot.
For instance, some people see a ghost in a room while others present do not. If the ghost is physically manifested, why wouldn't everyone see it? (I have a personal story involving my son to illustrate this one).
If you subsribe to this hypothesis, ghosts should not typically be captured on film. And for the most part, when you think about it, they aren't. What does everyone capture? Apparitions? – rarely. All I see everywhere are those stupid orbs, mists, streaks, and camera stra.. er.. vortices. I don't see any ghosts.
But that raises up the problem of the few apparitions that are on film. They're either all fake, or, as parapsychology holds, Casper has manipulated the flim or image sensor via PK, much the way it did to a living witness's brain. Only, I can almost see a ghost interfacing with a human consciousness, but how does a ghost interface with silver nitrate or a CCD?
Back to Residual Hauntings.. all I can say is.. damn fine points everyone. A lot of that never occurred to me. Even more disturbing, I think, than the ol' "Stone Tape" notion is the newer one out there based on homeopathy – the "Water tape" theory, as it's called, which states that these emotions and things are stored via water or moisture in the environment. Doesn't that make even less sense, given evaporation and rainfall? lol
I can and will believe in, or give the benefit of the doubt to, a many strange things metaphysical and occult, but I will not, and cannot, buy into homeopathy. It's just the most illlogical bunch of horse crap ever foisted on mankind. Ever.
