My better half just returned from a holiday with her sister and brought me back a brochure from Oahu Ghost Tours (and an iPad! but that's another story).

One of their tours is called Orbs of Oahu

from the brochure….  "Can you explain the fireballs that appear out of nowhere?  And, oh yeah, Night Marchers.  Should we stand in their path?  Please don't look directly into their eyes.  It means certain death!

Catching a ghost on film isn't as hard as you think!  A camera is an effective tool to get hard evidence that ghosts do exist.  One thing to remember though; ghosts most often appear as orbs, balls of light, or mists.  Do not get discouraged if you don't get a human-like form in your pictures.  The orbs are just as good."

their website:- http://www.oahughosttours.com/

one of the 'ghosts' on their site. sigh.

oh dear - orbs

Lol, those pictures are laughable.

My neice just came back from a 9 day holiday in Hawaii. She had a great time but didn't take any ghost tours.

Yes, the orbs are just as good! Note the orb we have on this very site in the form of my avatar. That is a close crop from a picture I took a few years back when I was demonstrating how easy it was to get an orb in a photo. The area had no stories or histories of hauntings (although I suppose if someone thought long and hard enough he might be able to come up with some theory or another) I got "orbs" in several of the random shots…that one was one of the better.

I'd have to go with dust rather than lens flare in the "larry" photo. Pacman and the head of the "Grey Alien" to the upper right of it are a bit more interesting solely for their shapes.

OK. When I  first discovered SV a few years ago, I openly admitted that I didn't believe in ghosts – I was just here for the GH reviews. However, I have stayed because of the level of discussion on this topic. I still have my doubts; still, it doesn't take away my enjoyment of the topics discussed here.

HOWEVER

If I showed up at work, a family function, whatever, and said, "Hey. Look what I just bought" and showed them some gadget that said, 'The Ghost Meter'…..

well, I'd have a whole lot more time to spend here.

I….I'm thinking.
