I was messing about in the kitchen about to make something to eat when I thought I heard a noise. A the same time I also felt a "presence".
I stood back and in Ghost Hunters style said, "if somebody is here make something move". On the other side of the kitchen is the table, it sounded like it was there but I didn't get a good look at it due to the fridge being in the way, so I moved over to it and said "try again". Right before my eyes a glass levitated up about 6 inches off the table, stayed in mid air for a second or two and slowly lowered itself back onto the table.
Totally stunned by what just happened, I looked for a rational explanation. I thought to myself that I must be dreaming as this can't happen in real life. I didn't feel like I was dreaming. I felt wide awake.
Convinced now that I had a ghost and determined to discover what type of EMF field it had, I told it to "hang on I'll be right back" and went to gather a bunch of EMF meters. I found a couple including the K-II but somehow I left it on and the battery was nearly flat. I took it and a couple of others including the Trifield Natural and Gauss Master back to the dining room and laid them out on the table.
I told the ghost to try to see which meters it could set off. The half flat K-II managed to light a couple of LEDs and the Gauss Master meter went full scale, at the same time it's buzzer sounding loudly. The Trifield Natural I had set to electric didn't register anything.
About the same time a friend arrived who also heard the meters buzzing. I explained "I have a ghost" with which he gave me a look like I was clowning around. I said "no really, it's a ghost".
Okay I thought, this ghost is AC. What I really need is my eee pc software spectrum analyser to determine frequency. So I told the ghost "hang on again I'll be right back" and went to look for it.
Then I woke up.

You made sure to scream, "What was that!!?" immediately following the ghost's compliance with your requests, right? As if, after just talking to it and acknowledging it's presence and ability to alter the environment, you suddenly act as though it couldn't possibly have done that.
I'm sure that's a form of provocation in it's own right.

This dream got me thinking, as they do, as to what would be proof to me of the paranormal. Dreaming, trickery and insanity aside, it would be levitation of an object that doesn't normally do that. Like a glass, a chair, a table, a person, my cat or whatever. I think that would do it. But not if Grant was anywhere nearby.
What would it take to convince you guys?

I think levitation would do it for me. Levitation is good, I like levitation. But obviously it would have to be non-hokey, full daylight levitation in an environment I knew wasn't tampered with. If that exists.
One time I dreamed I *was* a ghost. It was a very vivd dream and it was one of those dreams that seem to last for weeks. Someone killed me, and I couldn't rest in peace until I got my revenge. But I quickly found that nothing I could do, and I mean nothing, would let me communicate with anyone alive. For a long time I hung around my parents' house trying to get them to know I was there, which was very frustrating. Eventually I placed myself so that my dad reached right through my chest and he showed no sign of knowing anything was out of the ordinary at all. That was discouraging, so I left.
After that I remember just wandering around a city. Some time during my adventure I discovered that all objects have "ghost" analogues, and that a ghost could separate the two. You just try to move something, and you move the "ghost" object, leaving the "real" object behind intact. Eventually I also discovered that the two objects are so intrinsically one that separating them was like a violation against space-time or something, to the point that in an area where many ghost-object pairs were separated, even living humans became vaguely aware that something wasn't right, which manifested as a creepy feeling. So even if everyone alive was completely oblivious to me, there was still this one way I could affect the world of the living.
In time I met a female ghost about my own age. Ghosts were very rare in my dream, and she's the only other one I met. I told her about a theory I had where what we were doing with the separating objects had to be doing something to the fabric of the universe, and if we separated enough pairs in a small area, it might bend the rules enough for us to slip a message through in some limited fashion. So we went to my parents' house and started separating everything we could find, and I think it worked. I vaguely remember my parents being able to see me for a minute and telling them what happened. After that I don't remember a thing. I wish I could remember how it ended up. I think the plot would make a decent movie.

Oh come on Learjet! Seriously?
Now I've heard everything.
What a load of hogwash.
I would like to consider my self as being skeptical but a little open minded.
I'll accept the truth when faced with the facts but this is a little extreme.
You've gone way too far this time.
Do you really expect any of us analytical thinkers to believe that you have a friend?

Ah but I didn't say it was a friendly ghost.
Personally I'm hoping for a succubus but the way things have been going I'm not likely to get that lucky.

Had another ghost dream last night. This one was malevolent, had a dark presence to it and gave me lots of scratches on my back like Freddy Krueger would. Now I just need to become possessed like Zak and my dream haunting will be complete.
