Not that I am trying to give someone additional work to do, but I  would LOVE Most Haunted reviews to be included in this website. Man this show makes Ghost hunters look like pikers when it comes to  faking events, and poor camera work. Everyone in Britain KNOWS that most events on this show are faked…but somehow, its popularity is still at a all-time high.

The station that shows it here in Canada bleeps out the profanities which often leads to many minutes of continuous bleeping whenever  the slightest sound is heard. The slightest occurence makes the crew scamper to the nearest exit…, all swearing like Pirates on PayDay. Now, thats scientific research!.  Every occurence is obliterated by the bleeping, if its audible, and every visual occurance is obliterated as all cameras are spun around to show the "investigators" responses.

If you are lucky enough, you can catch older episodes with Derek Acorah, who falls to the ground, invaded by any local spirit rambling by…tossing and screaming like a drunk. Derek is guided by a thousand year old Ethiopian named "Sam". Im not enirely certain…but I seem to doubt that the name Sam was particularly popular that long ago…in that part of the world. I uess the name Buffy was taken by all the other more popular spirit guides.

The Briitish seem to shun electronic  research devices , such  as an EMF METER, and recorders…opting for the far easier to fake  raps, and  taps and moans routine. Blow the dust off yer old Ouija Board…it, and a shot-glass are state of the art here, and conveniently provide an "accurate" name and date of death of every Poltergeist passing thru. Routinely, whistles, taps, and raps are rewarded by spirits rapping tapping and whistling back on cue….now thats hard to phoney that using eartly technlogy. They only recently discoverd FLIR cameras, but someone forgot to tell them what TAPS discovered practically in their first episode, that false readings can be reflected from body heat on reflective surfaces. Every shiny surface shows a heat reading that  could only logically come from spirits….right!!!?????.

If it  wasnt for the fact that this series makes millions every year I'd donate my EMF Meter…just for the yuks it would provide every time they cross paths with it, and an extension cord, sending a flurry  of activity to the closest exit.

Don't know if that is even possible.  It's not on the Travel Channel schedule at all.

Hmmm, reviewing Most Haunted would almost be the equivalent of reviewing Mindfreak with Chris Angel.  The only difference is that Angel actually comes out and says what he's doing is an illusion, thus, not real and not to be taken as such.

Here's the generic review which can be used each week.

S##E##: In this episode, a lot of screaming was done which was then repeated 11 or 12 times so that the viewer could really see what was causing all the agitation. Unfortunately the repeated views did nothing to show the source of Yvette's freaking out. And despite a zillion "Did you hear thats?" I didn't hear a freaking thing!

On another floor, some psychic contacted the spirit of a woman who died in childbirth, a manor lord who had been executed during the Civil War, and some rogue who had been repeatedly stabbed with a candlestick by the husband of his mistress.

Some really cool fade-away scenes were used but, unfortunately, Yvette always faded back.

Join Most Haunted next week when they top even the crap they showed this week.

Very good Nos, Kudos.
Which got me to thinking…hmmm.
With the plethora of paranormal shows clogging our tv cable nowadays, why not have a weekly paranormal review show, a la Siskel & Ebert.
Of course Nosfer you would be the host.
Naturally we would have the charming and effervescent alicat on board doing the co-host role on the show.
Rev could be technical advisor and DVR operator.
We could also have Ol' Humphries from The Ram Inn as comic relief, like J. Fred Muggs.

This is beginning to make sense.
Now what did I do with Pilgrim's phone number?
Had it here yesterday.
Or was that the bail bondsman number?

Blinddog,

Thanks for the compliments and recommendation.  So, am I taking from this that you want Producer credits on this show with Pilgrim?  You do keep interesting company since your Tango experience and you did bring in Ol' Humphries which would definitely earn credits from me for sure.  I'm there.  Pass the bourbon.  Somehow this could work. BK100,

Not even sure if this show is still in production.  Last reference I saw for any new episodes airing was back in February 2009.  The Travel Channel still has a section on MH on their website but I couldn't find anything new for you.  Sorry.

If anyone feels like reviewing Most Haunted for the blog, PM me. Logisti and I kind of have our hands full with our current review schedule, but we're always interested in new reviewers.
