Here's wishing all Skeptical Viewers a Happy Halloween. May all the spirits you encounter be friendly, and, in some cases, drinkable!

True story.
During GHHL08, the light bulb in our kitchen blew. Clearly a spirit was trying to manifest itself in our kitchen to get a bite to eat. I did some EVP work, but so far, nothing.
Hope everyone had a safe, fun Halloween.

Also true– As my wife and I were leaving for a Halloween party (with my DVDs of Ghost Hunters in tow, just in case things got too dull) the door to our kitchen opened itself– despite being a self-closing door. I have a bad habit of leaving it just adjar (ever since locking myself out wearing only a bathrobe, once) and it was just windy enough outside. The kitchen's flourescents made it glow with an unearthly light.
I had to remind myself that doors are on the List of the Unimpressive. But I was impressed for a second there.

I haven't had time to post my review of last night yet, but just want to make a quick and weird observation:
GH Live had been on for about five minutes when my husband returned from walking our dog. She immediately began acting strange in a way she only does when there are thunderstorms. She put her tail between her legs, refused her treats and kept following me around so closely I almost tripped a number of times.
Up until around midnight, she lay next to me so hard that it actually hurt. She was reacting to something that we could not figure out, except that GH was on the entire time. She loosened up about midnight and finally ate something and seemed normal after that.
Now, all here know how skeptical I am in general and of GH in particular. But I must relate my dog's behavior, since I can't explain it. Can ghostly vibes travel through TV broadcasts? It was just plain weird.

I remember that my favorite Halloween TV special, "GhostWatch", originally intended to play extremely high frequency overtones to try to make dogs act up. Fortunately, the BBC refused this idea.
Did Pilgrim steal this idea? Why not? It won't be the first idea that's been ripped off "GhostWatch."

Never thought of that! It could have had something to do with the broadcast that our dog picked up on. She was very disturbed by something in the house.
At this point, I wouldn't put anything past Pilgrim.
