One of Britain's most "haunted" properties has decided to finally admit that there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of the various myths and legends attributed to the property.

Yeah, and next thing they'll try to tell you there's no UFOs in Area 51.

Double tap to the head. Don't become Undead.

Funny how it's always extremes, no rational happy medium or middle ground. Most haunted castle and all of a sudden there is absolutely nothing here…the latter statement is quite definitive but somehow they've proved a negative :)

I suppose a believer would say that Casper dosen't need for us to have evidence for him to exist, and a non-believer would say the acceptance of something as evidence is what creates Casper regardless if it's actually valid or not.

Which "unhaunted theory" are you referring to? Is this the once haunted, always haunted one that we were discussing in some other thread a while ago?

(Lame Macbeth jokes redacted…)

The article is amazing! Who knew that there was a ghost hunting program hosted by Uri Geller? That's got to be some kind of record in untrustworthiness! "There, you see? The ghost bent the spoon!"

Fortunately, I'm not above such a thing :) I see NOW how it all went down:

"Out, Out damned ghost"

Anywho…@Learjet, I thought that might have been the one you were referring to. It seems we have two separate theories being offered here at SV.

Once haunted, always haunted
Ghosts have expiration dates

This may seem jestful but there is some seriousoness behind this, I think we may have discussed this before (or was this something I got into on the TAPS board back in the day) Oldest hauntings? I need to look into Glamis, but off the tops of anyone's heads, what was the nature of the haunt (age)?

Nosfer, off the top of my head or off with the top of my head?  LOL

Here's one link regarding the hauntings of Glamis.  Here's another link directly from Mysterious Britain.

More like "Out out, damned ghost hunters"

From the article:

“We don’t encourage ghost- hunters, we don’t encourage ghost-hunting TV programmes and we certainly don’t encourage people who want to come in and do overnight stays to try to locate ghosts,” said David Adams, the castle’s general manager.
