This last episode of Ghost Hunters were Britt stares at shadows using averted vision, Jason notices something block out an upstairs light, got me thinking. Are these guys even aware of the optic nerve blind spot, or did they miss out on reading those optical illusions books as kids?
How anyone can trust their eyes at night amazes me. Having done amateur astro-photography in the dark for many years, one learns not to take literally everything we see! Yet these guys do it routinely. I'm considering placing their experiences into the misuse of equipment category. The equipment (eyes) we were born with gets misused also. Reminds me of the old saying "Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear"
What a great motto that would be for GHA. If only!
