Got this link off of Amy Bruni's twitter.  Just watched a video featuring a more recent Montauk Monster carcass. I'm glad I'm not a cryptozoologist. http://www.montauk-monster….

"If this is a genetic mishap from Plum Island, we’d like to sell the remains to an independent lab for study. "

"If your publication is interested in obtaining exclusive pictures of The Montauk Monster or would like to interview Nicky Papers (yours truly!) please e-mail us. Local laboratories and independent research firms I encourage to contact us as well as we’d like to receive conclusive results as to what the Montauk Monster really is."

Someone might want to steal the carcass- so it is hidden in a mysterious ice chest being watched around the clock; could be carrying the plague, and then please pay us for examining it and give us the results so we can cash in on this.  Apparently only Nicky Papers is giving interviews, I am sure there is a fee attached to that as well.

To me it looks like a cross between and sheep and a pig.  I do not see where there is "a race against the clock".  Stick the nasty thing in a deep freezer.  Take your pictures to your vet and see if he/she can identify, or zoos, or a university.  Even if it continues to decay, I do not see where extracting DNA would be a problem.

I am convinced this is actually one of those Reptilians from the Fourth Density, and he somehow missed getting transmitted back to his ship, so his body was scrambled into this Third Density, and his scales fell off, and he ended up dead and bloated on the Montauk beach.

We have to go through this again?  Yell

What is going on over there on the east coast?  Every time an animal washes up on shore, it's automatically a monster.  How does that even start?  How does it get from "I don't know what this is" to "it's a monster!"?  How does "monster" even get thrown into the discussion?  Why is there even a discussion?  Just call Animal Control or whatever you have over there and call it a day.  Killin' me…

Anyway…here's a link to the article that I read this morning:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30742498/?GT1=43001

Notice the video section description: "New images surface showing a mysterious animal-like carcass that apparently washed ashore on a Long Island beach."  Mysterious animal-like carcass.  Animal-like.  As opposed to what?  It has four legs.  What…"thing" can it be like other than an animal?

As for the "If this is a genetic mishap from Plum Island, we’d like to sell the remains to an independent lab for study. "…are you kidding me?  Here's the link to the Plum Island Animal Disease Center:

http://www.ars.usda.gov/main/site_main.htm?modecode=19-40-00-00

Their record has been spotless for years.  Just because an animal washes up on shore is no reason to cause alarm and implicate the Center.

Another one: "I haven't ruled out biological warfare on this yet," Papers added. "A diseased carcass floating in waterways around Long Island could be infecting the water."  All I will say to this is…this person is an idiot.  Yes, I can talk about biological warfare, how pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, or other disease-causing agents could be used, and how ineffective a floating carcass would be to distribute it.  However, merely stating that the person is an idiot makes me feel better.

Please…someone, anyone…stop these people from roaming the shores with their pitchforks and torches while chanting "It's a monster!  It's a monster!"

Wow, Revenant.  I did not realize that Long Island had such a problem, roaming villagers with pine torches and pitchforks.  Laughing

Yeah, I know.  Kind of like the scene in the old Frankenstein movie.  Or Shrek…

As a general rule, I try not rant.  But the first Montauk Monster was painful enough.  A second time?  Simply torture.  Maybe it's just because New York doesn't have a monster of their own.  Giant rats and alligators in the sewers aren't the stuff of legend.  I say give them a bigfoot.  With wings.  And the ability to shape-shift into a giant rat or alligator.  That way, they can join the "monster society" without shame.  They can hold their heads high, saying "Yes, we too have a big scary creature that lacks scientific verification.  And…ours has wings and can shape-shift."  As long as they promise to NEVER mention the Montauk Monster again…

Revenant,

Thank goodness for us in NJ, with all due respect to those in NY and on Long Island, it's just another NY story.  It's not surprising, it's NY for petes sake!  It's like the Sopranos and NJ fuhgeddaboudit!  I'm guessing that's the same way people in Montauk feel as well.  Enough already!  Everyone once in awhile, someone has to stir that pot and get notoriety/celebrity and that's sick.

Hey!  Stop talking about the east coast like that or I'll introduce you to a few of my big friends here, Grant the hanger, Jason the bully, Steve the touch, and Tango the magician!  Wink

I never knew that New York was monster-deficient.  They should hold a fund raiser and buy a monster.   A shape-shifting big foot that can fly would be a really cool monster to have.  Laughing

Bloated and decomposing corpses  look really discusting. And strange. But thats all it is…a dog or a pig etc..

These people need to do some research on the decomposition of bodies.  This natural process can make the bodies soooooo distorted that they do look an unidentified species.(Or have been mutilatedWink

A side note to the Plum Island references.  Nelson DeMille, an incredible writer and storyteller, wrote a book in 1997called "Plum Island" where he weaves two biologists from Plum Insand into a suspense thriller.  It's definitely worth the read.

Plum Island rang a bell, but didn't know why.  Now I do.  It was a good read.

What is "fluffernutter?"

And speaking of Amy from GH…does anyone know what she does for a living?  Just curious.

Amy is a producer for Beyond Reality Radio.

"Paranormal Research is highly important to me and since childhood, I've been studying and mentally devouring everything I could find on the subject. I'm a very busy Paranormal Investigator and I am also a Producer for Beyond Reality Radio with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. You should listen to the archives if you get a chance, (we're currently on hiatus), because it's awesome, and because Jay and Grant are two of the most wonderfullest people I know."

I would not call Jason and Grant the "most wonderfullest people" I know, but then again, they don't provide my income.

Looks  as though her career in the paranormal just started in 2007.  Hmm…think I  do a little more digging.  Thanks for asking the question Revenant.
