There is a new Bigfoot sighting making the news cycle this morning. Even MSNBC has picked up the story.

The video is laughably bad. Bigfoot shuffles across the road like a kid trying to hold up his baggy pants. Thankfully, the video does manage to fulfill the Cryptozoological requirement that all footage taken be blurry to the point that its subject is unrecognizable, despite the fact that in this case it looks like the photographer was less than fifty feet away.

Below is a link to the videographer's personal account of the incident. There is also additional freeze frames taken of the supposed creature's footprint. Strangely enough, these freeze frames were not shot close-up, and are also very blurry.

Amazing, isn't it.  I would have to go onto manual and deliberately go OOF to take footage that bad!  This type of thing is what I was trying to drive home in this thread:

I was roughly 3 times the distance away, too.  As for the potential excuse of it being through the windshield, that doesn't apply, I've taken some pretty darned clear shots through a front windshield.

Part of the problem with the still shot of the foot print is that it was taken with an exposure of 1/3 second!!!  No flash fired, either.  Was also shot at low ISO. If no flash used or available, he should have at least boosted ISO to around 800 or so to get a decent shutter speed to get a clear shot.  A lot of the problem in the footprint shot is camera shake because of the speed.  Typical Frown

The evidence is interesting.  I can't think of another explanation for it.  But I'm not yet ready to say it is a Bigfoot.

I think it looks like a demon.  Let me stop and pick up Chip and a case of ping pong balls and I'll be right there.

That's exactly the creature that attacked me at Snelgrove Lake!
