Was rather interesting to watch the MonsterQuest version of the "chupacabra" again. Too bad FoF hadn't bothered to do that. I was starting to doze but the Veterinary Genetics Laboratory didn't seem to be mentioned, at least not in the part that I saw. The determination of a coy-wolf via DNA seemed to come from the mohawked guy (Todd Disotell) who is a Professor of Anthropology at NYU.
VGL (from other digging) supposedly was shipped samples of the Elmendorf Beast, though. It's very possible/probable that they were also send the Cuero samples but it was odd that the pronouncement of the coy-wolf came from NYU in this episode. Two other groups were given other samples (tissue and hair) targeted toward their specific expertise.
