During the Yay/nay session, when they showed the sand circles, I kept thinking it's U2 from their Vertigo video. Cool The bright light that the witness saw was their personal helicopter.

Hey guys i just wanted to point out that when they are showing the original footage no one and i mean no one not the guys on the show or anyone here has pointed out that there is a scene where you CLEARLY see a heap of dust falling in the video.

The best example i can see of it is about 13 mins into the episode. (on the copy that i have.) you can clearly see that it "falls" off what ever is just outside of frame and there are several larger chunks falling with it.

Also the comment they make "I think the haunted mansion is the perfect setting for a ghost hunt.!" well DERRRRR your not going to hang out in the local maccas on the off chance your going to see a ghost.

It honestly looks like dust to me. Its clearly grainy and not misty. There are a couple of scenes where the camera focuses on the dust and you can see its particulate in nature.

Just saw more videos of the McPike Mansion mist on A&E's "My Ghost Story". Discussion by the women who video taped it of how they experienced it. It looks very particulate in most of the video and they claimed it looked coloured, almost purple at times.

Not the same presentation as "My Ghost Story", but gives the originator of the video as Dr. Rene Horath, PhD from the University of California, Pennsylvania, who according to the link below is a Professor of Industrial Engineering (although her name didn't come up on the University's website). She is apparently a paranormal researcher on the side.

Also wonder about the fact that the mist is being caught on IR…would that effect its appearance in some way?

Same "MGS" episode has the "Ghost Writing on Film" that so entranced Chi-Lan and "The Star of India."

The article has some problems with accuracy. For one it's California University, Pennsylvania and she got her PhD from Texas A&M. Her name does come up, but you'd have to do some research on her to know that she's now using her maiden name. She's in Applied Engineering and Technology.
