I know its an older epi, but I thought I might as well post the links to the Mich Tech article & the all important video taken via telescope that, yes, shows the Paulding lights are cars lights:
Best line of the article has to be: “I think that the occasional spectacular lights happen when a cop pulls someone over,”
….its right up there with how they figured out what area of US45 was target area…."since they were able to spot an Adopt-a-Highway sign in their scope and track it down via Google Maps."
When FoF first aired, I had hoped they would do similar research to the uni students. With all the technology at their disposal, FoF still botched it up.
With the mindset of "paranormal until proven otherwise" they immediately start off on the wrong foot. I see this all through the paranormal community also.
While car lights have settled The Paulding Lights question for us, you can bet they will live on as paranormal with some people, because once something is declared paranormal, it's paranormal forever. The declaration can't be undone.

You're absolutely right. Look at the Bermuda Triangle. People have been debunking that myth since the 1970's and we still hear about it every now and then.
With the Pauling Lights…just you wait. In maybe 5 years…maybe 10 years…we'll read a blurb somewhere how someone closed off that road and people still see the lights. It will become mysterious again…until someone will have to come along and prove that once again…it's still car headlights.
"Skepticism is not a position, it's a process." -Dr Michael Shermer
Remember how steady the light was when they did shut down the road toward the end? I bet a months supply of chocolate that it was caused by FoF shutting down the road…it backed up the traffic-lol
And yes, there are already claims that the lights seen every night are not the 'real Paulding Lights', that they only occur occassionally :rollover: People believe what they want to believe…
