Well, if you didn't like the GH-DT connection, you're probably not going to like this.

This coming week the episode consists of a visit to the Bermuda Triangle by the DT team and then Dustin and our new freind Robb assist Josh and the DT crew in search of the Chullachaqui, a gremlin-like creature and legendary devil of the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazonian jungle.  You can read several links here, here and a DT video trailer here.

If you can stomach it, here's Dustin's Tweet:

"D.Pari The Paranormal Rockstar and Hollywood Robby D are on Destination Truth this week which officially upgrades it to Destination Awesome!"  Guess when Jason is not around it goes from Hawesome to plain awesome. Frown

Naturally, you can't upstage the 'Pope of the Paranormal'.

This is getting downright disgusting. They are by no means qualified to be subject-experts.

I'd like an explanation for the excessive number of crossovers. This isn't natural.

Neither was the breeding patterns that produced these 'experts', but we're stuck with them.

Ever notice how some companies, whether be it a fast food restaurant or a cellular company, etc. seem to spare no expense when it comes to advertising in order to gain new customers but once they have a customer walk through the door, they do very little to keep them. They provide very poor service, have discourteous or even rude employees or terrible food. It seems to be the case with GH and DT. GH is always explaining what an EVP or Residual Haunt is even to redundancy. They must be directing these explanations toward new viewers who have not yet caught on to the fact that their "food is terrible" and they care very little what the old timers think becuse they have already caught on.  DT , with these crossovers, is attempting to attract some new viewers from the GH and GHI fan base.

Does Dustin wear that stupid hat in the rain?

Dustin tweets:

"D.Pari The Paranormal Rockstar …"

Oh……my…….dear…….lord….

It is stuff like this that leads to government censorship.

Sheesh, nothing like floating your own boat!  On a couple of earlier shows, he commented on how good looking he is.  I wonder how many times his mother told him that.

Dustin has always been that way from what i can see. Even when he was on some of the early GH when Andy was still around, Dustin had a thing about his hair and that.

Bot  Hollywood Rob and Rockstar D, oh,please. I'm curious why they are doing this, is GHI done for the season, or are new episodes coming up? The links were interesting,I like the one about Werner Herzog's movie with Klaus Kinski and them moving the steam boat through some pass.

Wonder if they are going to do this with any of the GHI team members, or Jay and Grant are going to join Josh on DT.

No. We don't speak anymore. Not after the ugly 'emergency room incident' caused by the '…lasting longer than four hours' call to the doctor.

Well, that and I've just been real busy and am almost never home on Wednesday nights.  But I'm trying to catch up via Comcast OnDemand since I'm home today. And so far, it looks like the same ol' same…..

I….I'm thinking.

Yeah, I can see how you would want to take some time off for recovery from that situation.
Hope there were no permanent physical or psychological injuries.

::sigh::

I think I am done with GH.  To be honest I have had a hard time watching this season.  It is boring.   Not to say it is boring because they don't catch anything.  Simply put, they do the same shenanigans EVERY SHOW!  I know what will happen this week:  They will walk around in the dark, the girls by themselves and not catch anything.  Steve and Tango will run around like idiots and get scared of a spider, and Jason and Grant will see a dark shape that is caught on no camera or device, and have a 10 minute conversation with their K-II.

I still enjoy DT.  I *really* hope they stop with the crossovers, or this will be one I stop watching as well.

Too bad really.   I am so fascinated with the subject and would like to see serious investigation.  But it will never happen on this show.

My time is too valuable to be wasted on this anymore.   I will still read this board, as I am always interested in the conversation and insight.  But no more time will be wasted on the clueless on TV.

I've found that being AWESOME is a full time job…

Other than another GH/GHI addition, what did everyone thing of the investigations? I did like his comparison of the Chullachaqui and a boar, but what about the whistling? And the 'keeping pace with us'/'definitely showing some kind of intelligence'?
And what about the equipment failure and getting lost at the Bermuda Triangle? What did everyone think of that?

Seriously folks, when you go into the dark woods at night ( in any country) there are many noises made by various animals, branches falling, wind etc. I would be worried if the woods were quiet. Next try a boat trip on the water (another DT fad) at night. You will swear the water is alive with all sorts of creatures splashing and jumping. This too is normal (here in Florida we like to call these noises fish). Now I need to go downstairs since my icemaker is making  Paranormal Sounds that appear to be "eat some sugar-free chocolate before the wife comes home".

I'm waiting for all these 'stars' to show up on a revived version of The (Haunted) Love (Ghost) Boat.

*sings to the music of the old sitcom*  (my age is showing again)

"Ghosts…. exciting and old… come aboard, our pyschics are expecting you….

Ghosts!  Life's sweetest reward….

They can float… float right through solid metal walls….

The Ghost Boat!

Soon will be signaling their presence through EVP's!

The Ghost Boat…

Promises visions that only Jason and Grant can see…

Everyone from GA and DT will show up as well…

And those Ghosts…. will be showing up left and right,

Setting off EMF's, opening doors that have been locked up tight

Ghosts beckoning you to come aboard,

It's Ghosts!"

"Quando omni flunkus moritati" ("When all else fails, play dead") – Possum Lodge motto. Jason and Grant should adopt it as their own.

@ captainsteve ~ Having always lived in the country, bordered by the NJ Pinelands (inhabited by the infamous "Jersey Devil") on a lakeside property plus spending at least 3 days a week for many, many years living on the water of the Chesapeake, the noises and sounds of woods and water are comforting and not frightening to me.  The reason is that I am familiar with my surroundings and what inhabits them.  However, taking me out of my comfort zone of sight and sound, I would say the possibility exists that different sounds, different animals and somewhat uncomfortable circumstances, could heighten a sense of curiousity and possible tension.  Yes, if everything was quiet, that would definitely be a major sign something was amiss.  However, I don't begrudge someone when they jump or get tense in a situation in which they are unfamiliar.  Getting hysterical on the other hand not so much.

As far as these trips to South America, where DT seems to have chosen for a number of episodes, I have a friend who's son is a major wildlife conservationist in South America, in particular, Bolivia. He has worked on conservation projects in the Republic of the Congo and even spent ten weeks living with the Babengeli rainforest pygmies.  He became the Executive Director of the Bolivian bird conservation NGO Asociacion Armonía/ BirdLife International in 2002 and is the Director of BirdLife's South American Threatened Bird program, which supports on-ground conservation actions and trains new conservationists in South America.  Perhaps DT needs to actually talk to people like my friend's son when they do their research before they leave for a location rather than rely entirely on the internet and the translations of locals.

alicat, I agree that there should be a few more experts involved in these hunts. Not just the same two or three experts/scientists? used by the ghost and bigfoot shows.

I was excited a few months back when the dead bigfoot was found in the Northern Georgia mountains. We vacation there at least once a year. I thought "hot dog" lets go. Then of course, it was discovered to be a hoax.

I think GH, GA and DT are all adventure type "shows" and should be watched with that in mind. I have put a curse on my son for recommending that I watch GH. Now a year or so later he has stopped watching and poor ole dad is still hooked and watching and waiting for something believable to happen.
