Thanks Nosfer. It will be interesting to see the progression. And yes, it starts on the East Coast at 8:00 a.m. EST.

Darn, I was hoping they would replay the "Haunted Forest" at the foot of Mt. Fuji, I don't quite remember if the GH team was brought in as "experts" in this one.
I think this is one of their best ghost investigations, if only those Japanese "investigators/curious ghost hunters" weren't in the area! To me, that kind of tainted their "evidence" as well as we don't quite know Josh's integrity yet, his humor tends to throw you off, rather than "Drive" you off as Jason and Grant's demeanors do on their show.

ps. a little note on The Doctor's and Nosfer's discussion on the latest Destination Truth episode… Well, if a paralegal is almost a lawyer and a paramedic is almost a doctor, just WHAT is a parakeet?

Not sure, but isn't a "paradigm" 20 cents? :)

You're thinking of the Aokigahara Forest, also known as the "Suicide Forest", from Season Two. And thankfully, this was before the crossover with GH, so to my mind it was an excellent show and probably one of DT's most famous. I can never forget the chills that ran down my spine as they were investigating the place. It is well known to have strange phenomena occur there. Whether it's the psychological effect of knowing what happens in that place or whether true, unknown forces exist, the forest is flat out creepy and a very sad spot.
Sigh–those were the days when GH was not brought into the mix.
You can always watch this episode for free on Hulu.com (there are other sites as well) or purchase it from iTunes, as I do as I want this show to be a permanent part of my library. I may be mistaken and will have to check further but I do believe a DVD set may be in the works. If I find out anything definite, I'll let you folks know. There are DT t-shirts, backpacks available so DVDs will surely follow (I hope!).

I have to agree, Oubliette, that was definitely "one of those episodes" I got the same reaction watching it as I did the first time I watched the St Augustine GH episode.

@Oubliette & Nosfer,
Thanks Oubliette for the info, yeah, that is one sad place, the Japanese culture and suicide was really intertwined (still, although they are trying hard to change that with social programs, hotlines, awareness and ad campaigns to name a few sources, I hope it helps, it's a strong culture!), and a place like this no doubt holds a lot of memories and energy if that strong emotion theory is correct.
@Nosfer, thanks for the morning laugh! That's a good one. But both of you are right on the button about those two episodes, they affected me the same way. I will have to dig in the Archives on the St. Augustine lighthouse episode to see thoughts as of now. The part where something peeks over still has me wondering, but the boom explanation about the light getting blocked on the stairway is very plausible, and in the DT: Aokigahara Forest episode, if it weren't for those other people in the area or heck, even the crew possibly doing something (I hope not), that one still creeps me out as well.

Well, maybe…. There is a commercial with Josh stating he's previewing a new movie coming out this week during DT. Did you factor that in?

Lucky for us last night, it wasn't that much of a distraction from the episode. I was afraid it would take up a much larger portion of the show than was advertised but then again, when am I ever going to learn not to believe advertising on these programs?
