PS: The Possession

AKA The Return of I Am Six

by Oubliette

After watching this fused episode-it starts out with supposed demonic activity in a house in Kentucky and links up this activity with the demon possessed Laura of "I Am Six"-I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  Actually, I find myself getting angrier and angrier at A & E for continuing to allow what is one of the most tasteless and harmful shows on TV to continue to saturate the airwaves.  It is so bad, it even makes me wish that there were some kind of censorship committee in existence to protect malleable minds (and I'm not talking children here) from this sort of nonsense.

PS: Haunted Ranch

In this investigation the PRS team visits a family that owns a small ranch and has been experiencing some bizarre and frightful things.  Not one but two horses were killed by mean unknown.  One of them had a deep wound in its side, broken ribs and a punctured lung.  The husband said one day he found his dog hanging by its leash.  My initial gut feeling on hearing these horrible events recounted was that one of his neighbors might be trying to drive the family away, but if that was a serious possibility it certainly wasn't mentioned.

PS: Family Ties

This is the first episode of Paranormal State I've watched in what seems like a very long time and I must say, I rather enjoyed it. In fact, this episode was more engaging than any episode I've seen of either Ghost Hunters show in quite some time. The science? Not so much.

PS: Knickerbocker

For this investigation the PRS team headed to the Knickerbocker hotel to investigate reports of some pretty intense activity. Immediately it becomes fairly obvious that the owner, Peg, is very emotional and my impression was that she may not be entirely rational in her thinking. There is, perhaps, good reason for this though: Apparently during a family gathering at the hotel she experienced something near the creature that scared her and over the next few months many of the people who attended died suddenly, were injured, or suffered other major misfortunes which she attributed to the entity she saw.

PS: Mothman

Tonight's paranormal state had an interesting twist: They didn't investigate ghosts or spirits, they investigated Mothman sightings, specifically at the site of the Silver Bridge collapse in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

PS: Asylum

In this investigation the PRS team visits the Willard Rehab facility in New York, which used to be a Mental Institution. The reports from the staff were fairly impressive, involving a number of different employees and some harrowing experiences including one case where the witness said they not only saw a woman appear in an otherwise empty hallway near them, but she apparently screamed at him before vanishing.

PS: Requiem

The PRS team heads to a home in Allentown Pennsylvania where a girl reports having her bed shaken and being touched on the neck by an entity in her bedroom. She also gets feelings of dread in the old barn outside and her mother reports having heard someone wheezing loudly at a time she was alone in the barn.
