DT: Chullachaqui

by Oubliette

In this episode, DT departs from its usual practice of showing the cryptid investigation during the second half of the program.   This may have been done to keep the viewership of GH from changing the channel, as Robb and Dustin from GHI appear as guest investigators in this segment.  It seems an odd crossover since GHI only investigates hauntings, and never in an environment so intense.  However, I must say that this segment did not turn out as disappointing as I thought it would be from the standpoint of having those two join the team.

by Oubliette

If places of mass tragedy truly generate paranormal happenings, Chernobyl should prove to be fertile ground indeed.  This terrible event conjures up our worst nightmare–a nuclear accident and the devastating results that follow in its wake. Human error as well as lax safety practices resulted in a Level 7 (Major Accident) on the International Nuclear Effect Scale in the Ukraine on April 25, 1986.  The inhabitants of Chernobyl and the city of Prypiat had no inkling of the horrors that, in an instant, were to be visited upon them.  The plume of radioactive fallout from this event (4 times the size as that released by the bombing of Hiroshima) drifted westward across Europe, reaching as far as Ireland.

DT: Sal'awa

by Oubliette

The second half of Episode 4 takes us once again to Egypt, this time in search of a wild, canine-like creature that is said to target humans as food.  Along the Nile and south of Luxor lies a village called Armant, where the Sal’awa (scary wolf) is said to be viciously attacking humans.  This unusual canine-like creature looks strange indeed, if eyewitness accounts are to be believed.  Any chance that this is just a type of feral dog is belied by its strength and speed, as witnessed by people who work in the sugar cane fields just outside the village.
