GH: Alcatraz Penitentiary
TAPS is back in Ghost Hunters' 100th episode. They really wanted this season premiere to be special and actually made it a 2-hour event hosted by Josh Gates where our favorite Ghost Hunters talked about their investigation and took questions from a live studio audience (Is this leading towards becoming "Crossing Over with John Edwards"? Would you really be that surprised?) Dustin and Barry from GHI join Jay, Grant and the team to investigate Alcatraz Island in San Francisco.

Did anyone watch GH in their 100th show? I'm sure just about everyone did. Now, correct me if I'm wrong [ I dont think I am ] but, when they announced it on TV did'nt they say it was " LIVE FROM ALATRAZ "??? Instead, they were live live from NY and they taped it ahead of time. I was really disappointed when they really had nothing for 2 hrs. in alcatraz. Does anyone feel the same as I do?? If so, I think we need to send them a e-mail and let them know. I did mine while they were on but I knew they wouldnt read it.

I wouldnt bother. It was posted here it wouldnt be live since January. There have been 2 forum disucssions on here since January with a link that said it would be within the live show and then about it in NY with a link for tix.

I doubt the GH will ever do a live hunt again. They have proven on numerous times during previous live hunts that they can not conduct a professional investigation. Now with editing and some B role clips thrown in for good measure, they can put together a somewhat coherent investigation. Well, coherent enough to pull the wool over the viewer who doesn’t stop and think, and believes everything they see on TV is real.
For a team that was supposedly allowed the most time to hunt Casper at Alcatraz, they sure didn’t have much to show for their effort.

dconlly concerning your last statement.
Have they ever?
For that matter, has anyone?
If the true definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then we, the viewers, must be nutty as squirrel sh*t.

Theres no way to compare how much time anyones been given to investigate Alcatraz and they know it so they can say any thing they want. They have proven over and over they cant be trusted. Its part of their bs.

blinddog50,
To be real honest, I was expecting something similar to the hangar toss, collar tug, or even sheetie to make an appearance.
To answer your question, no group has ever produces anything of any importance. Some groups enjoy utilizing little know camera effects, and captures anomalies that they then tried to pass off as Casper. Others love EMF, and play with all the EMF gadgets. What they all have in common is the inability to provide one piece of evidence that proves Casper exist.

I don't know – I thought "Harry Brunette 3-7-4" was pretty dramatic evidence. It falls in the "it's either a complete fake or pretty convincing" area to me.

I've lost all interest in Ghost Hunters or any other Ghost hunting show. It started with the famous collargate episode and my interest has dwindled to "very little interest.
I visit here once a week and have found interest here is on the downslide. How many times can one continue to hear,"did you hear that"or "did you see that" over and over without any results.
I enjoyed reading posts on this site but the "shows" are boring, unbelievable, repetitious, deceitful.
The Doctor @ 2:37 pm
Couple of points –
When he sticks his camera lens through the hole, the hole is not big enough to allow his camera light to illuminate the other side – where is THAT light coming from ? … or was he using another light through a different hole ( we see one lying on the bed ) – Grant moving THAT light with his right hand as he films with his left could easily cause a shadow for the camera.
Possible Grant List Candidate ?
The "Harry Runette" – Curious that we don't hear the B in Brunette, and a B cannot be made while trying to talk and not move your lips. An F is hard to produce also, and we don't hear the F in four clearly either. Looking for a culprit here might actually point at Steve – trying hard to not move his lips as he adds the whispers to the recording while Tango has his headphones on.

I have lost complete interest in watching any of these ghost hunting shows. I was a huge fan when gh first started and believed all of their bs. The collargate show was the final straw with myself and everyone I know who watched. This show has turned into a cash cow for two idiots who were at the right place at the right time. I just cannot understand why anyone would pay to see them at a convention, stay at their "ghostly" hotel, or read their lousy books or magazine. In my opinion Jason and Grant are riding this fraud known as gh till they suck every penny they can from the fans that are left.

They say that even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in awhile.
For Jason and the 'Chipmunks' the search continues…….
