GHI: Quarantine Station
The Ghost Hunters International team visits a… Quarantine Station? I don't know why but suddenly I'm reminded of LOST. That reminds me, Miles would be a valuable team member. Of course the investigations probably wouldn't last very long or be terribly interesting, so for purely entertainment value let's stick with stumbling around in the dark for the time being
New arrivals to Sydney were, apparently, at one point subjected to this quarantine station in order to prevent foreign diseases from spreading throughout the populace. Needless to say, those who were detained with serious illnesses often died there, and these deaths became the foundation of the belief this is one of the most haunted locations in the country.

After all is said and done, most if not all ghost photos/video I have seen and (especially the one in this episode) I believe are hoaxes, camera aberrations or matrixing. And most ghost "noises" I have heard that sound like footsteps thumping etc on these "ghost hunting" shows I believe have natural origins that just arent readily apparent. So I am about ready to give up on the whole concept of paranormal investigation and consider it no more than just some mindless entertainment when along come EVPs and recorded voices etc. Other than an outright hoax or the aural equivalent of matrixing natural sounds I cant come upwith any natural source or explanation for these recorded "voices" which do somtimes clearly sound like human speech - are there any natural explanations I am missing?

Audio compression artifacts can sound like whispers, but there's some that really do sound like voices.
This episode was full of stuff that didn't sound very clear to me. I suspect though that there's a fair loss from investigation site to living room TV, so I don't think we get what it was like to be there very well.
Straight into the investigation they come out with "let's go find some ghosts". It doesn't sound very open minded does it. It seems like they have already determined the place is haunted.
The cold patches were interesting. Did they ever do that follow up in the review that Paul was referring to? I didn't catch it. If not it seems the temperature meter didn't register what Paul was feeling.
So, yeah I have mixed feelings about this episode also lol.

I haven't checked yet, but is this the episode where I SWORE Brandy said "emphity" when speaking of an "entity"?

During the reveal, they mention to the client Pauls cold feeling as a personal experience, so the datalogger must have shown no such temperature change.
Brandy's "cold side" is "documented" by Ashley feeling her arm - They can play with cameras on remote control toy tanks, yet they have not learned by now that everyone should be carrying a thermometer all the time?
The most curious part of the episode is the still images, which appear to have been taken as the sun was setting ( ghost hunting in daylight? what a concept! )
Barry has had 2 years now to learn how to work his super camera and these crappy pictures are the best it can accomplish ?
… in DAYLIGHT ?
