Dave Tango Meets Skeptical Viewer
Thanks to Circumstances Too Complicated To Explain, our very own BlindDog50 wound up meeting Dave Tango from TAPS. He said that Tango was a very nice guy who was willing to appear in photographs with these T-shirts even after reading them. (I paraphrase.)
Many thanks to BlindDog50 for making this happen and to Dave Tango for being such a good sport.
Here are BlindDog50 and Tango. Please note that BlindDog is sporting the very latest in skeptic fashion, the Skeptical Viewer "fringe science" t-shirt.
And here're Tango and a fan, holding up the cutting-edge "Definition" black Skeptical Viewer T-shirt!

Skeptic meets ghost hunter. An unlikely combination. Kind of like oil and water.
Angelayo1970 @ 9:05 am
Sounds like the premise for a great sitcom…
"What happens when an eager ghost hunter/magician teams up with a gruff but lovable skeptic? Find out in the new ABC series "Blinddog and Tango: Paraskeptic"!"
blinddog50 @ 10:12 am
"gruff but lovable"
I prefer, "curmudgeonly but huggable".
BrendaLee @ 1:42 pm
Tango has always come across as a cool guy. Kudos to him…
CrowTRobot @ 6:52 pm
Well done, blinddog. Soooooooo, any interesting conversation to share?
Oh, and I agree with you BrendaLee, I think Tango has always come across as very likeable – and perhaps one of the few on GH that still seems interested in hunting ghosts.
blinddog50 @ 7:52 pm
As far as conversation, we talked.
Tango and my son must have bonded, they're sending emails and texts a couple times a day.
Crow, go to the General Paranormal Forum.
Look under Ideas and Suggestions, it'll help bring you up to speed.

"Tango and the Dog! Coming this fall on SyFy!" OK, just in my imagination so far, but it'd be the best paranormal TV show ever made.
OK, I think I might prefer Angela's "BlindDog and Tango" sitcom. But in my imagination they fight crime.
douglas angelini @ 4:05 pm
i am huge fan of show live in chesapeake va area would love chance to go out with u guys not 4 tv only 4 experience
Nosfer @ 4:08 pm
@douglas…We are not TAPS
Learjet @ 6:49 pm
We're actually SPAT. Skeptical Paranormal Audience for TV.
Angelayo1970 @ 8:40 pm
@Stephen "OK, I think I might prefer Angela's "BlindDog and Tango" sitcom. But in my imagination they fight crime."
I like the crime fighting angle! And BD, if you prefer curmudgeonly, then curmudgeonly ye shall be!
Nosfer @ 9:01 pm
Hmmm, I'm thinking the proper term is curmudgeony rather than curmudgeonly. Now, if we amend the description to read "curmudgeonly huggable" I think we can use the adverbial form.
Sincerely,
RCS Grammar Police

blinddog–great pics! My brother met Tango earlier this year and said he is a nice guy, very polite to the fans. He even stood up and shook my brother's hand after he told Tango that he was in law enforcement.
Have to confess I've always had a soft spot for Tango because he's from NJ
One big thumbs up for blinddog and SV!
Logisti @ 11:03 am
"…even after reading them"
Well If I'd known he was going to read them I wouldn't have written all that mean personal stuff about him
But seriously, I do think he's aware of who we are and if so it was definitely cool of him not just to pose with the shirts, but to pose *enthusiastically*. Awesome, Dave!
And super-kudos to blinddog50 for arranging the photo shoot!
alicat @ 11:31 am
I too would like to add my congrats here to my fellow RCS member, the "curmudgeonly huggable" BD50, for keeping us informed and arranging for the photos. I would also like to thank Stephen for posting them and Tango for agreeing to pose with BD and the shirts, as Logisiti said, "enthusiastically".
And, to reiterate Oubliette's previous comment, I too have a soft spot for my fellow NJ neighbor, Dave.
Great job!
