Nice to have the podcasts back. Good interview. One thing I do agree with Michael Rugg about is that many times the media finds the most oddball characters to interview regarding bigfoot, ufos, paranormal, etc.
I thought the background noises added to interview.
Steve's fear of flying does not equate to his love of the B-52s……classic.

Am I the only one who listened to this? Oh well, thanks for doing it guys.
Leslie @ 6:12 pm
Ooops. I started to listen to this a few days ago, and then forgot about it. So I just finished listening now. I like the interview with M. Rugg at the Bigfoot Discovery Museum. His idea of bigfoot (if it exists) being sentient enough to stay away and try to avoid contact with humans is one that I agree with. If I were bigfoot I would stay away too!
Grants experience- not sure what to make of that, but the way you describe it, it sounds like there is a lot of room for "trickery". Is this the begining of 'The Grant List'?
Doppelgangers- hmm… maybe the doppelganger knew that if the woman saw it she would die and was rinning out of the room to avoid that?!
Stephen @ 10:55 pm
@Leslie: Hmm… hadn't thought of that one.
Coming very soon: our next podcast, featuring an interview I'm quite proud of.

Great podcast. I'm really enjoying them so far.
Hmm. As far as the bigfoot being sentient enough to stay away and avoid contact with humans…I think it's a good theory, but then M. Rugg says that they wouldn't be able to if they were just apes. But the thing is, ordinary wild animals *do* know to avoid humans. Even animals like squirrels which live around humans and are used to us (the greedy squirrels around here must know that it's us leaving seeds for them!) go running when they realize we're too close. A fully wild animal is far more skittish, exactly why humans so seldom see some of them. I remember Revenant's post in the forums (I'm a lurker) about bigfoot which touched on the arguments his friends had brought up, and one of them was the example of the cougar, which is devlishly hard to find in the wild.
I like the theory, but there are a few things M. Rugg says which make it sound a little as if he thinks the bigfoot is of human-like intelligence. If they exist they could- especially if there aren't many of them around anymore- easily elude us just as many other rare animals do. So…I'm a little leery, though I think he has some good points.
Nope, ghosts don't fly! Totally impossible! *starts laughing* And dopplegangers…let's forget about the belief that seeing your doppleganger will kill you, why not?
Does anyone else think that these TV 'paranormal investigators' come up with their own theories concerning the paranormal and refuse to consider folklore at all? I first thought that with DT's episode on Tutankhamun's curse, since besides their ignorance of the lack of a curse they failed to take any ancient Egyptian beliefs into account. None of the traveling teams ever do, and they come up with all sorts of reasons for why their standard methods needn't be changed depending on the cultures of the supposed ghosts. Sure, we have no proof that these traditional beliefs are based in fact…but we have no proof that the paranormal investigator's beliefs are based in fact either. Either one could be correct or partially correct for all we know, and it's terribly closed-minded of them to ignore that.
I'm just not touching on the scizophrenic girl, besides to say that yes, these supposed investigators are terribly remiss in their treatment of people with mental illnesses. Perhaps I should be grateful that my family, for all the messy issues between us, at least aren't gullible enough to buy into the paranormal as an excuse for my lack of progress regarding my own mental issues.
