SV Podcast 005: Objects in Motion

First off, I should probably take a moment to reassure those of you who have been listening since episode one that you're not going crazy, the episodes have been getting shorter. Also, we didn't do it on purpose. Swear! Some topics just make for longer discussions than others. This episode is probably as short as they'll get though, and it's a good one so don't miss it!

Another entertaining podcast. Maybe the reason all this paranormal activity happens when Grant, and only Grant, is around is because …he's a catalyst! Maybe he fills his pockets with granite, quartz or limestone.

"There's a theory out there that some people, for some unknown reason, trigger paranormal activity." Is this a real pseudotheory or did I just make it up?

Hi guys-I really enjoyed the latest podcast. Something that struck me as odd with the whole Grant & picture frame thing was that I swore he said, "I checked to make sure there weren't any magnets under it" or something to that effect. I just thought that was kind of odd…maybe because my mind thought "fishing line". To me a magnet would make more sense-just because of the way it moved. Keep up the great work!

When I saw the picture move my first thought was I can do that TRICK much better.

Magician’s invisible thread and wax. The Gimmick is attached to your waist. It takes about 2 minutes to set the trick up.

You can use business cards or playing cards. The trick is great because you can take a business card from anyone and start twirling in less then a second. Cost is $20.00 dollars. You have to order extra wax. It does take a little practice but you can perform the trick just a few feet from anyone they can't see the thread.

I mentioned a gimmick. You really don't need it, magician wax, invisible thread and scotch tape. Roll the wax in a ball attach it to the thread and card.

Attach the other end of the thread to scotch tape, then stick it behind your ear. "Wellah" you have a floating card for less then $5.00 dollars. Check this video. He is using a gimmick and it's attached to his waist.

Great podcast you guys! I really enjoyed hearing the explanation of the moving picture frame. While to me the jury is still out it helped to understand much better where you are coming from. I have never seen the first season it that on the web somewhere that I can view it?
