If you're like me, the past few weeks you've probably been thinking, "Wow! Since I found SkepticalViewer.com my boss doubled my salary, I married the [insert gender here] of my dreams, won the Super Powerball Lottery, and learned to play the Harpsichord. How can life get any better?"
Well let me tell you how: The Skeptical Viewer Podcast. That's right, Stephen and I have taken to the airwaves (assuming the internet is made of air) to talk about all things supernatural. From Ghost Hunting Techniques to Ghost Hunters Episodes, we'll be covering the paranormal "Skeptical Viewer" style like never before.
So tell your friends, tell your neighbors, pre-load it onto the iPod you're giving your Mom for her birthday. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you…

Great podcast! Now I don't need to watch GH or GHI, I'll just listen to you guys. Consolidating one's addictions is always a good idea.
You left out the two most important reasons to turn out the lights during an investigation:
1. Since vision is by far the most dominant sense in humans, and since our vision has evolved for daylight light levels, investigators will be disoriented and frightened.
2. Consumer-grade video equipment doesn't work well in dim light, so the resultant grainy, digitally-distorted image will essentially be a Rorschach test.
In your discussion of EMF meters, you say that getting spikes in a room which contains no (other) electrical equipment is "anomalous." Why would you call the reception of radio waves in an unshielded space anomalous? We do live in the age of wireless everything everywhere, don't we?
You guys gonna do any analysis of Paranormal State episodes? Or is that show beneath your contempt?
BTW there's just enough of an echo in some parts of your audio that it sounds like you've picked up some EVPs. Now that I think about it, maybe they're not echos, maybe the spirits are mocking you.
One request: If you're going to do more of these podcasts (and I certainly hope you do) would you please set up a separate RSS/Atom feed for them? Thanks.

Good comments, ZenBum! (AKA Gregory.)
First, thanks to Logisti for the work he's done in getting this podcast going on the site.
You can subscribe to the podcasts separately by using this URL:

I have some hopes that we can eliminate the echo, so we'll be hearing at least 50% less of my voice next time around.
We might analyze Paranormal State in the future. At present I don't watch it, so Logisti would be flying solo on that.

Good podcast guys, keep up the good work. I really think it is interesting.

THAT was well done. I'm very much looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed the podcast. It seems like keeping the lights on would attract more "spirits" than turning the lights off. One of the pet theories of paranormal investigators is that entities are energy, are attracted to energy and need energy to materialize. Cold spots are explained as the result of entities drawing energy from the air in order to materialize. Spirits supposedly drain energy from batteries running the various investigating instruments. Well, wouldn't leaving on the lights give the spirits more energy to use to materialize? If an entity is trying to draw warmth from the air (resulting in a cold spot), why not help it out a little by plugging in a space heater?
Upcoming: This Week @ 11:10 am

Finally listened to your first podcast and really enjoyed it. Regarding GHI trying to scale that wall to check the locked room, my first thought when I watched that episode was if it had been summer, maybe it wouldnt have been so slippery. I actually hollered at the TV "Go back in the summer!!!" Or why not later get someone to unlock the door since Chip (who I liked also) didnt have a key I guess.
Logisti, I loved your reference to Zork…one of the first computer games I ever played, among a lot of other Infocom text games.
Also, I keep trying to picture Brian with the nuclear powered ghost buster on his back…wearing the "borg" goggles…and I fell over laughing.
